Engine Overview and Common Failures

Engine number B235R is located in front of the engine, next to the gearbox. First and foremost, this motor is plagued by regular oil leaks, especially at the joints. The hydraulic compensators have a modest lifespan and often start to knock around 150,000 km. Around the same mileage, the oil pump also tends to wear out, which is dangerous for the bearings. Closer to 200,000 km, the oil rings become worn and oil consumption starts to increase. This unit does not tolerate tuning, as its lightweight pistons can easily burn out. It also does not have a long lifespan, and the balancing block is usually removed. Weak points of the engine also include the ignition cassette, turbocharger, and electronic throttle.
