Engine Overview and Common Failures

This engine has appeared relatively recently and has not yet shown itself in a bad light. In 2017, the design of the timing chain was upgraded and now the chain does not stretch quickly. Floating revs due to a malfunction of the tank ventilation valve are often encountered. Closer to 100,000 km, oil control caps often harden and oil consumption appears. Failures of camshaft adjusters or the Valvetronic system occur on high mileage.
