Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the engine 10P as a whole is 260 kg. The engine number 10P is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. The main problems are related to wiring breaks under the valve cover. The second most common issue is the rapid wear of the camshafts and rocker arms of the pump-injector drive. Due to the destruction of the sealing rings of the injectors, fuel mixes with oil. The turbine bypass valve shaft often gets stuck and its control valve fails. Cracking of the cylinder head and the crankshaft damper pulley is also frequently encountered here.
