Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the M50 engine according to the catalog is 198 kg. The engine number of the M50 is located at the junction of the block and the oil pan. Most of the engine problems are related to various leaks in gaskets and seals. The reason for fluctuating idle speed is either throttle or idle control valve contamination. Engine misfires can occur due to faulty spark plugs, ignition coils, or clogged injectors. The variable valve timing system Vanos has relatively low reliability. Additionally, this unit is sensitive to overheating, so please monitor the condition of the cooling system.
