Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the M30 engine according to the catalog is 192 kg. The engine number M30 is located at the joint of the block with the gearbox. Even after a brief overheating, the cylinder head can warp. After overhauling, the cylinder block often cracks around the thread for the cylinder head bolts. Owners often face problems with the failure of the mass air flow sensor. Valve clearances need to be adjusted every 10-20 thousand km, there are no hydraulic compensators. The mechanism for adjusting the clearances quickly becomes inoperable and requires replacement.
