Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine number of the Mazda SH-VPTS is located at the junction with the gearbox. This diesel engine is considered highly problematic due to the unreliable attachment of injectors. Over time, they become loose, which leads to carbonization of the oil channels. Prolonged oil starvation often results in engine failure. The vacuum pump can also fail at any mileage, which is fatal for the unit. Additionally, these engines often make noise due to wear on the camshafts lobes.
