Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the ENC engine assembly is 250 kg. The ENC engine number is located under the oil dipstick. This diesel engine has separate cylinder head blocks which often crack. Additionally, they need to be periodically tightened, otherwise serious lubricant leaks may occur. The turbine is characterized by low reliability, sometimes causing oil consumption even before reaching 100,000 km. Hoses leading to the turbine and intercooler often wear out and they are expensive to replace. There have also been complaints on forums about noise and vibrations during operation, as well as a shortage of spare parts.
