Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the engine ENR in assembly is 240 kg. The engine number ENR is located on the cylinder block. The weak point of the fuel system of this diesel is considered to be the valve-regulator of the fuel injection pump. The piezo injectors also have a low lifespan, and moreover, they are very difficult to remove. The turbocharger here is not very reliable and may require repair before reaching 100,000 km. The timing belt lasts about 150,000 km, and if it breaks, it usually only damages the rocker. Air suction through the fuel filter heater connector is often encountered.
