The weight of the EL154 engine according to the catalog is 105 kg. The EL154 engine number is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. Practically all problems of this power unit are somehow related to oil. Oil consumption starts from the first kilometers and significantly increases up to 100,000 km. The unit is prone to leaks and can damage the bearings when the lubrication level is low. The engine is highly thermally loaded, and the cooling system is not known for its reliability. The cause of fluctuating RPMs is usually glitches in the electronic throttle valve.
