Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the M275 engine according to the catalog is 270 kg. The engine number M275 is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The most well-known problem of this engine is its considerable oil consumption. The cylinder block is made of aluminum, and the cause of high oil consumption is usually wear. It is also worth overheating the engine a couple of times, and lubrication will start leaking from all the gaps. Additionally, the ignition coil blocks with 24 spark plugs here are quite unreliable and expensive. The double-row chain has a limited lifespan and often stretches up to 200,000 km.
