Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine number B47C20A is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. The main problems for the owner are related to the EGR valve, which is referred to as AGR here. In many countries, there was a recall campaign for its replacement. The timing chains compared to N47 have become more reliable and require replacement closer to 200,000 km. The intake swirl flaps quickly become clogged with soot and jam. As always, you will have quite a headache with piezo injectors and the diesel particulate filter.
