Engine Overview and Common Failures

The engine number B37C15A is located at the junction of the block with the gearbox. The main problem for the owner is the EGR valve, which is called AGR here. It is responsible for sudden loss of power, loss of performance, and jerking. Compared to the N47 diesel, the timing chains have become slightly more reliable and can last up to 200,000 km. However, the intake swirl flaps quickly clog with soot and get stuck. There are many troubles as usual related to the temperamental piezoelectric injectors and the DPF (diesel particulate filter).
