Overview and Common Failures

Body and Interior: The paint job is not very durable and chips appear quickly, but the body itself does not rust. However, it's worth noting that the chrome coating is not long-lasting and the headlights tend to fog up frequently. The car's interior is spacious, attractive, and made of high-quality materials. Online reviews criticize the vehicle for its low ground clearance and relatively weak sound insulation. Engine: The 2.5-liter petrol engine G4KM performs quite well. However, Sonata owners with this engine often complain about oil consumption. The 2.2-liter turbo diesel D4HE is brand new, and nothing is known about it yet. Some forum posts describe a few cases of EGR valve failure. Transmission: The 6-speed automatic transmission A6MF2 has been in use for a while and doesn't cause any major issues. The 8-speed robotized transmission D8LF1 initially had strong jerking, but firmware updates have fixed it. The all-wheel drive system is too delicate and struggles on serious off-road terrain. Suspension: The suspension is not very comfortable, but there haven't been any reliability issues so far. There have been cases of replacing the steering shaft bearing due to squeaking when turning the steering wheel. There are no particular complaints about the braking system of this crossover.
