Overview and Common Failures

Body and Interior The paintwork here is thin and prone to rusting quickly, but the body itself does not rot much. On forums, people complain about the short lifespan of the chrome coating and fogging headlights. The crossover's interior is spacious and attractive, with very rich equipment. However, it is not very resistant to wear and tear, as the leather on the steering wheel and seats quickly loses its appearance. Electrical issues usually involve the factory multimedia system and keyless entry. Engine The 2.4-liter gasoline engine G4KJ is reliable, but it has a weak point. The problem with cylinder scoring due to catalyst crumbs has still not been resolved. The V6 engines with a capacity of 3.3 liters G6DF and 3.5 liters G6DC have a huge resource. But owners complain not only about high fuel consumption, but also about oil consumption. The 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel D4HB runs without problems with proper maintenance. Its main issues are related to the fuel system and EGR valve. After 100,000 km, it is necessary to check the condition of the timing chain and injection pump. Transmission The 6-speed automatic transmissions A6MF2, A6LF1, and A6LF3 are quite reliable and rarely cause concerns. The 8-speed automatic transmission A8LF2 was regularly replaced under warranty in the first years of production. As before, the components of the all-wheel drive transmission cause a lot of trouble. Firstly, spline connections require constant maintenance or they rust. Secondly, there is quite often a breakage of the clutch basket shaft. Suspension Overall, the suspension is reliable, and only the stabilizer bushings are replaced up to 100,000 km. The rear shock absorbers are the weak point, often lasting less than 50,000 km. The brake discs here are small, and with aggressive driving, uneven braking quickly occurs. The steering rack often starts making noise at low mileage and is replaced under warranty.
