Engine Overview and Common Failures

The assembled weight of the D19AA engine is 181 kg. The engine number D19AA is located at the junction of the block and the gearbox. This diesel engine is very reliable and does not have any problems with swirl flaps for this series. The Bosch fuel system with electromagnetic injectors has a high lifespan. On high mileage, sometimes there is clogging of the metering valve of the fuel injection pump. After 200,000 km, vibrations can often occur due to leaking injectors. Additionally, the priming pump occasionally fails and the EGR valve gets stuck.
