Overview and Common Failures

Body and Interior The paint coating is thin and quickly gets chipped, but the body is galvanized. The interior is nice, but the materials are cheap and not very durable. Owners also complain about loose door handles and weak sound insulation. Engine Both gasoline engines are well-known and have proven themselves to be good. However, the issue with cylinder scoring has not disappeared and occurs regularly. With too aggressive driving and abrupt starts, the timing chain can quickly stretch. Transmission Both manual and automatic transmissions are very reliable and do not cause any problems. As a downside of the manual transmission, its clutch has a relatively low lifespan. Suspension The suspension here is reliable, although some forum users criticize the rear springs for being too soft. Before reaching 100,000 km mileage, the stabilizer struts and hub bearings are often replaced. Sometimes owners have experienced failures of the power steering and ABS sensors.
