Overview and Common Failures

The body and interior The paintwork is very weak, and the body itself rusts quickly without anti-corrosion protection. The main advantage of this crossover is its attractive design for the price. The finishing materials are cheap and wear out quickly, and the sound insulation is poor. On specialized forums, there are often complaints about assembly flaws and a small trunk. There are also occasional electrical problems, but most often it is due to wiring or its contacts. The engine The 1.5-liter LF479Q2 engine is quite reliable and does not cause any trouble up to 100,000 km. However, afterwards, there is usually a progressive oil consumption due to worn piston rings. It is also important not to forget about valve adjustment, as they tend to burn out quite often. Transmission The 5-speed manual transmission LD515MF is known for its relatively low synchronizer lifespan. Sometimes, an equivalent 5T14A5 mechanic can be encountered, which is not more reliable. The Jianglu & Rongda RDC15 CVT is installed on the restyled version FB. It is slightly more durable than its predecessors, but still requires frequent lubricant replacement. Suspension The suspension here is quite reliable, with only sway bar links wearing out quickly. The power steering rack with electric assistance is rather weak, and it is often replaced under warranty. Brake discs and pads do not have exceptional lifespans, but there are also good alternatives available.
