Overview and Common Failures
Body and Interior The paint coating is quite weak, but the body itself does not rust quickly. Currently, there are only complaints on the forum about small bulges under the paint on the fifth door. The quality of the interior materials is very good, plus there are many useful options. Owners complain about short seat cushions, poor noise insulation, and a modest trunk. It is also worth noting the poor visibility due to the strong slant of the windshield.
Engine The GW4B15 and GW4C20NT turbo engines have proven to be quite reliable. The only drawback is high fuel consumption, considering that the tank here is 56 liters. There have been cases of turbine failures due to bent blades or burst pipes. A recall campaign was carried out to replace the fuel pipes after a series of fires.
Transmission The 7-speed GW7DCT1 robot with two wet clutches rarely causes concerns. Owners only complain about the sluggishness of the gearbox and jerking in traffic jams. There have also been reports of the robot switching to emergency mode due to overheating. The BorgWarner NexTrac electromagnet coupling all-wheel drive system is good.
Suspension The crossover's suspension is moderately firm, and it has no major reliability issues. The original Tokico shock absorbers have a modest lifespan, but there are replacements available. The steering rack may start making noise even at low mileage, but it can still be driven for a long time. The brake discs and pads are not the most durable, and it is better to choose non-original ones.
