Overview and Common Failures

Body and Interior The paintwork is very weak and prone to chipping, but the body itself does not rust quickly. The chrome coating, of which there is a lot, can already bubble after the first winter. The interior materials are of good quality and hold up well, even in taxi cars. The electrical system is reliable and currently there are no reports of widespread failures. Engine The 2.0-liter G4NA engine is known for cylinder misfires and the problem still exists. The 2.5-liter G4KN engine with combined injection has not been criticized on the forum so far. Transmission The 6-speed automatic A6MF1 is quite reliable, but the lubrication needs to be changed regularly. The 8-speed automatic A8MF1 has recently appeared and has not had any issues reported. Suspension The suspension is a bit stiff, but there are no complaints on forums regarding reliability or lifespan. There are no complaints about the steering and braking system of this sedan.
