Overview and Common Failures

Body and Interior The entire body is galvanized except for the roof, so look for corrosion near the windshield. As for the materials in the interior, they are budget-friendly, but everything tends to wear out and peel off fairly quickly. The electrical system, ventilation, and seat heating often have issues. Engine Both engines are known for their reliability and usually last about 250,000 to 300,000 kilometers without any problems. It is important to keep an eye on the condition of the catalyst, as its particles often get sucked into the cylinders. In addition to scoring, the chain and its tensioner are also considered weak points. Transmission The five-speed manual transmission has a modest lifespan, while the six-speed performs well. The four-speed automatic stands out for being low-maintenance and unpretentious. Suspension In the early years of production, this car had quite a few suspension issues. However, after the model update, the quality was improved to a good average level.
