Overview and Common Failures
Body and Interior
The paintwork is delicate and prone to chips, but the body doesn't rust quickly. Owners complain about the short lifespan of the chrome coating and the fragile glass. The interior is spacious and quite attractive, with high-quality finishing materials. However, there are often complaints about the low quality of the cabin's sound insulation. American owners note a strong smell of faux leather on the headrests. The multimedia system and blind-spot monitoring often experience glitches.
Engine
The 3.0-liter gasoline engine G6DC has been known for a long time and rarely causes issues. On older models with this engine, owners complained about excessive oil consumption. The 3.8-liter engine G6DN tends to accumulate carbon deposits on the intake valves. The 2.2-liter diesel D4HB, with proper maintenance, can serve reliably up to 250,000 kilometers. However, at high mileage, the fuel injection pump often fails, and its replacement is very expensive.
Transmission
The 8-speed automatic transmissions A8LF1 and A8LF2 currently do not pose significant problems. Initially, there were complaints about vibrations, but new software updates have resolved these issues. The HTRAC all-wheel-drive system is highly regarded. It is essential to check the lubrication in all spline joints; it is crucial for smooth operation.
Suspension
The crossover's suspension is comfortable, and reliability issues have not been identified yet. The brakes are good, providing predictable deceleration. However, the disc and brake pad lifespan is short.
