Kia Mohave 2

The second generation Kia Mohave in the HM2 body is being produced by the Korean corporation since 2019. Overview and Common Failures

Body and Interior The paintwork is thin and chips quickly, but the body is galvanized and does not rust. Forums complain about the chrome coating, headlight glass, and rear door edges. The interior of the SUV is excellent in design and quality of materials. Owners note that the seats are not very comfortable and the noise insulation is average. There are no major issues with the electrical system, all equipment is very reliable. The 3.0-liter diesel engine D6EB is time-tested and has a decent lifespan. Its weak points include the glow plug block and crankcase ventilation system. The 8-speed automatic transmission A8TR1 is considered trouble-free and hassle-free. However, solenoids often get clogged with active use, sometimes even before reaching 200,000 km. The all-wheel drive system has been significantly simplified, but it is highly reliable. Its weak point is considered to be the spline connections, which should be monitored. The suspension is structurally complex, but there are no complaints about reliability or lifespan. Previously, there were many problems associated with air suspension, but it has already been discontinued. The braking system and power steering with EPS do not cause major issues.
