Haval Jolion

The first-generation Haval Jolion is manufactured at the company's factory in Baoding, China since 2020, but it was introduced in our country in 2021, with production taking place in Tula. Initially, only the front-wheel drive model was offered, and the full-wheel drive version appeared a bit later.

Overview and Common Failures

Body and Interior The paint coating is quite weak, but the body is galvanized and still not rusting. The interior is decent in terms of material finish, well-equipped, and very spacious in the back. On forums, there are mentions of a small range of steering adjustment and a modest trunk. Many complain about glitches in the active safety system and keyless entry. Engine The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine GW4G15K with distributed injection has just appeared. Owners criticize it for high fuel consumption and vague dynamics. The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine GW4B15D with direct injection is known from the F7 model. Like all direct injection units, it tends to develop carbon deposits on the valves. It's also worth noting the service campaign for replacing faulty lambda sensors. Transmission The 6-speed manual transmission 6MF22B from Wuhu has proven itself well so far. The 7-speed robotized gearbox GW7DCT1 from HYCET also doesn't cause any problems. Owners only complain about its pensive operation, especially during sudden acceleration. The all-wheel drive system with an electro-hydraulic clutch from BorgWarner is reliable. Suspension The suspension here is not very comfortable, and there are already questions about the lifespan of some components. There have been cases of shock absorber and bearing replacements at low mileage. The steering rack is not causing any concerns at the moment, but it's too early to talk about its reliability. Brake pads wear out very little, some had to replace them at 20,000 km.
