Geely Tugella

The Chinese automotive corporation has been manufacturing the first generation of the Geely Tugella, designated as the FY11 model, since 2019. This crossover, constructed on the CMA platform, is recognized domestically as the Xingyue.

Overview and Common Failures

From 2019 to 2022, the pre-facelift version of this crossover was sold in China, equipped with a 2.0-liter engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive. The available versions were:

  • 2.0-liter engine, 4G20TDB, producing 238 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, with an 8-speed automatic transmission TG-81SC.

The facelifted version debuted in major markets in 2022. Initially, only one turbocharged engine version was offered, but in 2023, a less powerful version was added:

  • 2.0-liter engine, 4G20TDJ, producing 218 horsepower and 325 Nm of torque, with an 8-speed automatic transmission TG-81SC.
  • 2.0-liter engine, 4G20TDB, producing 238 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, with an 8-speed automatic transmission TG-81SC.

Additionally, simpler versions with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine JLH-3G15TD were also available in the Chinese market.
