The 4.5-liter Toyota 1FZ-FE engine was produced only at the Japanese factory of the company from 1992 to 2009 and installed in the very popular Land Cruiser and Lexus LX family of SUVs. During the engine's upgrade in 1998, ignition coils were used instead of the traditional starter. The FZ series also includes the 1FZ-F engine.
