Engine Overview and Common Failures

The weight of the EW10D engine according to the catalog is 140 kg. The EW10D engine number is located at the junction of the block and the cylinder head. The main problem with this engine is its temperamental direct fuel injection system. It not only frequently malfunctions, but also requires specialized service for repairs. The phase regulator often fails at a mileage of 70-80 thousand kilometers. Many owners regularly encounter oil leaks from under the valve cover. The reason for strong vibrations usually lies in critical wear of the power unit mounts.
